Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, Milan

Graduated in Fine Arts (Sculpture) in 2011 at Byam Shaw School of Art in London.
As an artist she also took part in the Marrakesh Biennale #5 and #6, in 2014 and 2016.
Since 2012, after a period of apprenticeship, she works in the Battaglia Fine Art Foundry managing cultural and development projects with young artists and historical institutions. 
She lives and works between Milan and Palermo.

Director, Camden Arts Centre, London

Previously he was Artistic Director of Tate St Ives (2007-13) and Curator at Arnolfini, Bristol (2005-7). Over the past 16 years he has curated and organised over 70 exhibitions and projects, including recent solo shows with Emily Wardill, Moyra Davey, Fredrik Værslev, and James Richards, group exhibitions including The Noing Uv It (2015) and The Dark Monarch: Magic and Modernity in British Art (2009), and in 2016 he was Artistic Director for Art Sheffield. He has published and edited many books and catalogues, and writes widely on contemporary art and artists.

In 2014, he gained his PhD in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art, London. He organised curatorial projects in various institutions such as LUX Artists’ Moving Image, London; steirischer herbst festival, Graz and Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin. He wrote for Domus magazine and published various essays on the Italian history of exhibitions.

She studied Literature at King’s College London and History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Over the past 15 years she has curated over 50 exhibitions. These include recent solo exhibitions of new work by Banu Cennetoğlu, Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Amanda Ross-Ho and Josh Smith as well as historical group surveys such as ‘Xerography’ and retrospectives on Michel Auder, Bruce McLean, Wim T. Schippers, The Design Research Unit and the Hammer Prints studio, that was founded by Nigel Henderson and Eduardo Paolozzi in 1954. Her publications include ‘Bruce McLean: Sculpture, Painting, Photography, Film’ (2014); ‘Nigel Henderson & Eduardo Paolozzi: Hammer Prints Ltd 1954–75’ (2013) and ‘Design Research Unit 1942–72’, (2010).

Was graduated from the University of Pisa, where also earned a postgraduate Specialization in History of Modern and Contemporary Art of European Countries. Has studied at Sussex University and at the Reading University and at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Has worked at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Turin and from 2003 to 2009 was the curator the of general catalogue of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Since 2009 to 2016 has been the director of Marino Marini Museum in Florence. Actually is the Director of OAC Fondazione CR Firenze and curator of Established Master and Decades at miart. Some seleceted project: Marino Marini, Andrea Zittel, Joao Maria Gusmao & Pedro Paiva, Yuri Ancarani, Matthew Brannon, Deimantas Narkevicius, Esther Klas, Jonathas De Andrade, Silke Otto Knapp, Francesco Gennari, Luca Trevisani, Fausto Melotti, Giò Ponti, James Lee Byars / Leon Battista Alberti, Massimo Bartolini, Gavin Kenyon, Lynn Chadwick, Pablo Bronstein, Tony Lewis, Radical Architecture and several projects on the Italian art between the two wars.

Thomas Thiel
Director of Bielefelder Kunstverein

Thomas Thiel studied Cultural Sciences and Aesthetical Practice in Hildesheim (Germany) and Marseille (France). From 2004 - 2008 he was a curator and head of the exhibition department at ZKM|Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. Since 2009 he is the director of Bielefelder Kunstverein. Over the past years he organised solo shows with amongst others Mathieu Kleyebe Abonnenc, Michael Beutler, Dineo Seshee Bopape, Cécile B. Evans, Latifa Echakch, Christian Falsnaes, Luke Fowler, Iman Issa, Maryam Jafri, Maria Loboda, Gareth Moore, Lili Reynaud-Dewar or Katarina Zdjelar, as well as thematic exhibitions, lecture series and projects in public space such as »Museum Off Museum« (2013), »Vor Ort. Art Project Sennestadt« (2014), »Eugen Gomringer &« (2015) or »Transparencies. The ambivalence of a new visibility« (2016). He writes regularly on contemporary art and is editor of numerous publications.

Director of the Kölnischer Kunstverein in Cologne

He studied art history and business management in Mainz and Paris. Since 2013 he is working as director of the Kölnischer Kunstverein in Cologne, where he presented exhibitions by artists such as Pietro Roccasalva, Andra Ursuta, Annette Kelm, Darren Bader, Ryan McLaughlin, Petrit Halilaj, Stephen G. Rhodes, Uri Aran or Andro Wekua. Beside side his praxis as curator, he regularly publishes books on modern and contemporary art.
